Defect and Late Shipment Rates Back to 0.00% on eBay AU
Negative feedback and late shipment flags were appealed on eBay's own evidence and removed, ratings included. The eBay AU account now reports a 0.00% transaction defect rate and a 0.00% late shipment rate.
Defects on the record that the evidence did not support
eBay scores a seller on things that largely leave the seller's hands once an order is despatched. Late shipment flags and negative feedback both land on the account record first and get examined later, if anyone examines them at all.
This account was carrying both, and it was trading at Above Standard rather than Top-rated. That gap shows up in fees and in where listings sit in search.
- Late shipment flags recorded against orders that tracking showed had been posted and delivered on time.
- Negative feedback raised over an issue the listing had already disclosed before the buyer purchased.
- Seller level held at Above Standard rather than Top-rated.
- Every one of these is appealable, and none of them clears itself.
None of this called for a new fulfilment process. It called for someone to read eBay's own policies, pull the evidence eBay already held, and put it in front of the team that could act on it.
How an eBay AU account got back to 0.00%
Defect removals are won on evidence and on citing the ground eBay actually recognises, not on how strongly the case is argued. Each flag was worked separately, against the specific policy that applied to it.
Separate what is appealable from what is not
Not every defect can be removed, and hours spent appealing the ones that cannot are hours the clock runs down on. The account was audited flag by flag to find the ones where eBay's own records contradicted the defect.
That audit is the whole job. Everything after it is administration.
Use eBay's own tracking against the late shipment flags
A late shipment flag comes off when carrier tracking shows the order was despatched inside the stated handling time and delivered by the estimated date. That evidence already sits inside eBay's system.
eBay's response named the ground exactly: tracking showed the order was posted and delivered on time.
Appeal feedback on the disclosure, not on the tone
Negative feedback comes off when it breaches a policy, not because it reads as unfair. Where a buyer complains about something the listing disclosed before they bought, that is a ground eBay recognises.
eBay agreed on exactly that basis and removed the feedback.
Clear the ratings, not just the comment
Removing a feedback comment while leaving its detailed seller ratings in place tidies what buyers read and leaves the metric untouched. The ratings are the part that feeds seller standards.
eBay's decision confirmed the removal included the ratings, which is what moved the rate rather than just the storefront.
eBay AU seller standards, back to zero
The eBay seller dashboard now reports a transaction defect rate of 0.00%, a late shipment rate of 0.00%, and cases closed without seller resolution at 0.00%. The account sits at Above Standard today, and eBay's own dashboard projects Top-rated Seller at the next evaluation on 20 August.

The seller dashboard, as eBay reports it
| Metric | As eBay reports it |
|---|---|
| Transaction defect rate | 0.00% |
| Late shipment rate | 0.00% |
| Cases closed without seller resolution | 0.00% |
| Current seller level | Above Standard |
| If evaluated today | Top-rated Seller |
| Next evaluation | 20 Aug |
Read from this account's eBay seller dashboard. The seller level is what eBay reports today. The Top-rated line is eBay's own projection shown on that same dashboard, not a guaranteed outcome at the next evaluation.
Straight from eBay's own decisions
Both decisions come from the seller's eBay message centre. The third panel is their own seller standards dashboard.
“As a result, we're removing this feedback for you, including the ratings.”
“EcomVengers helped us resolve negative feedback and late shipment issues on our eBay Australia account. They knew exactly where to look and what needed to be addressed. The account is in a much better position now, and I'm very happy with the result.”

Where it stands
The removable flags are off the record and the three rates that decide seller standing all read 0.00%. eBay's dashboard projects Top-rated Seller at the next evaluation, which is a projection rather than a promise. Worth saying plainly: this worked because the flags were wrong on eBay's own evidence. Defects a seller has genuinely earned do not come off this way.
